Here we are…in our sixth year of homeschooling.

Wow.  I have no words for the amazement that I feel at all we have accomplished.

I do know that we are here only by the grace of God and the support that we have received from all of our family and homeschool circle in these past five years.  Without all of that, I am sure that this picture would look quite different.

And I don’t think I’d like the looks of it.  ‘Cause seriously, y’all…I have been so blessed to have this time with my daughter.  I can truly say that we have had an amazing five years of teaching and learning alongside each other.  My daughter and I know each other inside and out, and have an amazing relationship.  She loves the Lord, and has been blessed with a wonderful five years in the AWANA program.  Our homeschooling lifestyle has also given her the gift of more time…more time with her Daddy, her Grandmas (and Grandpas before they left us), her extended family….more time for rest and relaxation and to explore things that interest her.

Just more of everything.

For that I am so grateful.

And so another year begins….and our focus has shifted to mostly middle school curriculum.  We have had several subjects at that level for the last couple of years, but have moved more solidly into that category with the coming year’s curriculum choices.  I think this year will be one of tremendous growth for both of us, but most importantly, for my sweet girl.  I am looking forward to watching this transition and seeing everything that she is able to accomplish.

So without further adieu….
